Being the principal mentor of the Discoveries, Henry, the Navigator wrote one of the most important pages in Portuguese History.
Always represented with his Burgundy-style hat and his eyes kept on the horizon, Prince Henry was born in Porto, in 1394, and left his mark in several parts of the country. Son of King João I, Henry is also responsible for fostering a generation of fearless navigators.
This one-week journey takes us to these special places and stories.
